1. Overview

Fabi ("we", "our", or "the app") is an iOS application that helps users track their weight, follow diet plans, and receive AI-powered coaching. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights as a user.

2. Data We Collect

Data stored locally on your device: All personal information you enter during onboarding (name, age, gender, height, weight, goal weight, diet type, health information) and all subsequent weight log entries are stored exclusively on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. This data is never transmitted to our servers.

AI Coach conversations: When you send a message to the AI coach, your profile summary (goals, current weight, diet preferences, health context) and the current conversation history are sent to OpenAI via AIProxy, a secure API proxy. These requests are not stored or logged by us. Please review OpenAI's privacy policy for how they handle API data.

Analytics and attribution: We use AppsFlyer to measure install attribution and in-app events (e.g., onboarding completion, weight logged). This data is pseudonymous and tied to a randomly generated UUID, not your personal identity.

Purchase data: Subscriptions and in-app purchases are managed by RevenueCat. RevenueCat processes receipts via Apple StoreKit and may receive your App Store customer identifier. No payment card information is ever accessible to us.

App Tracking Transparency: On first launch we request permission under Apple's App Tracking Transparency (ATT) framework. If you deny this request, no IDFA is collected and attribution tracking is limited to aggregate, non-identifiable data.

3. How We Use Your Data

  • To deliver the core features of the app (weight tracking, AI coaching, analytics, calendar).
  • To personalize AI coaching responses with your profile context.
  • To measure marketing effectiveness via install attribution.
  • To manage your subscription status and restore purchases.
  • To improve app performance and resolve bugs using aggregated analytics.

We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

4. Third-Party Services

Fabi integrates the following third-party services, each governed by their own privacy policies:

  • OpenAI — AI model provider for the coaching feature.
  • AIProxy — Secure proxy for OpenAI API requests.
  • RevenueCat — Subscription and purchase management.
  • Superwall — Paywall and monetization management.
  • AppsFlyer — Install attribution and event analytics.

5. Data Retention

Data stored on your device persists until you delete the app. Deleting the app removes all locally stored data. Analytics events are retained by AppsFlyer and RevenueCat per their respective retention policies. We do not maintain independent server-side records of your personal data.

6. Children's Privacy

Fabi is not directed at children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take steps to delete it.

7. Your Rights

Because most of your data is stored locally on your device, you have full control over it at all times. You can delete the app to remove all locally stored data. For data processed by our third-party partners, you may exercise your rights (access, deletion, portability) by contacting those services directly or by contacting us at the email address below.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
